Accessibility statement

How we make mycomuapp.com usable without barriers, and how to tell us if you find one.

We want everyone to be able to use mycomuapp.com, including people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities. Our goal is to meet level AA of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

Compliance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA: the vast majority of the content conforms, with the exceptions listed below.

What we did

  • Semantic HTML that passes the W3C validator with no errors: headings in order, landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and lists where appropriate.
  • A “Skip to content” link and full keyboard navigation, with focus always visible.
  • Alternative text on meaningful images; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
  • Measured color contrast between text and background.
  • The system “reduce motion” preference is respected: animations stop.
  • The layout adapts to small screens and to 400% zoom without losing content.
  • Forms with visible labels, per-field error messages and alerts announced by screen readers.
  • Each page declares its language (es or en) so it is read with the right pronunciation.

How we evaluated it

Automated review of every page with axe-core (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules), HTML validation with the W3C validator, and manual testing with the keyboard and on phone screens. Last evaluation: September 29, 2026.

Known limitations

  • Promotional video: it has no narration or dialogue (only music and on-screen text); what it shows is described on the page itself.
  • PDF manuals: they are tagged PDFs, with declared language, chapter bookmarks and alternative text on every image and diagram. We have not yet tested them with every screen reader; if you need the content in another format, we will send it to you.
  • The app (Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac and web) has its own ongoing accessibility work; this statement covers the mycomuapp.com website.
