These terms govern the use of the mycomuapp.com website and the MyComuApp app (Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac and web). By using them, you accept them. They are written in plain language; if anything is unclear, write to us. The Spanish version prevails in case of discrepancy.
Who we are
The service is provided by MyComuApp · Valparaíso, Chile. Contact: contacto@mycomuapp.com.
What MyComuApp is
A communication platform for buildings, condominiums, neighborhood associations, companies and institutions: news and notices, common-space bookings, parcels, visitors, issues, messages and video calls. It is subscribed to by the community or its management; for neighbors it is free.
Your account
- Accounts are created by each community’s management. There is no open sign-up.
- Your username and password are personal: do not share them. If you think someone else accessed your account, change your password and tell your management.
- What you see and can do depends on the role your management assigns you.
Acceptable use
When using MyComuApp you agree not to:
- post illegal, offensive or discriminatory content, or harass other people;
- post personal data or photos of others without their permission;
- send unsolicited advertising or impersonate someone else;
- try to access information that is not yours, breach the security of the service or overload it;
- copy, decompile or resell the software.
Your community’s management may moderate what is posted, and we may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
What you post
What you write or upload (wall posts, comments, photos, messages) remains yours. You allow us to store it and show it to the right people in your community, only so that the service works. You are responsible for what you post.
Plans and payments
Prices of the plans are expressed in UF (Chilean inflation-indexed unit) and exclude VAT. Subscriptions are formalized with the community, management or company, and the terms of that agreement (term, coverage, invoicing) prevail over this summary.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service always available, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or causes beyond our control. We may improve, change or withdraw features; if a change affects you significantly, we will give notice in advance.
Intellectual property
The MyComuApp brand, logo, design and software belong to us. These terms do not give you any right over them beyond using the app.
Liability
MyComuApp is a tool: each community’s decisions (what is posted, who has access, how its spaces are managed) belong to the community and its management. We are liable for the service as provided by law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Chilean consumer protection Law 19,496 or the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
Your data
How we process your personal data is explained in the privacy policy, and our use of cookies in the cookie policy. You can request deletion of your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. We will first try to resolve any disagreement in good faith; otherwise it will be heard by the ordinary courts of Chile, without prejudice to the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If we update them, we will announce it in the app and on this page, with the new date. The previous legal text remains available in our policy and terms (Spanish).
